In just 468 km2, Andorra has 21 perfectly surfaced and signposted mountain passes for road cycling. Passes of all categories (including First and Special) including the legendary stage finishes of races such as La Vuelta and the Tour de France. Leave the hotel in the direction of France and you can climb the Envalira Pass, the highest in the Pyrenees at 2,409 metres above sea level. You’ll also love the Coll d'Ordino, ascending through Montaup before descending to Ordino along the Coll d'Ordino road. From there, you have even more options: continue northwards to ascend to Arcalís, or descend towards La Massana to head towards l'Aldosa and from there to the Collada de Beixalís pass, which will bring you to Encamp (so you can ascend back up to Soldeu on main road 2, towards France).
