Trekking routes through unforgettable landscapes
If you like walking in the mountains, and you enjoy doing it independently, we recommend checking out the selection of mountain routes you will find on the official Andorra Tourism website (you can find it here). It has a search engine so you can select the parish where you want your route to be, the difficulty level and the estimated duration. You can also opt for one of the guided hiking packages we offer at the bottom of this page.
To make it easier for you to hike at your leisure, we’ve selected some of the best routes near Park Piolets MountainHotel & Spa which will let you get closer to the authentic Andorra during your summer holiday. All you have to do is choose your trekking route and prepare some comfortable clothes and sports or hiking shoes. Oh, and don't forget your camera and smartphone. - Camí del Gall
Distance: 5.86 Km | Level: Easy | Elevation gain: +285 M / -15M
This is an easy route marked with a red cockerel. Ideal for families or if you’re looking for a simple route. It starts at the car park of the Canillo cable car (42° 33' 56",1° 36' 6") and ends in the village of Soldeu. To get back, take the bus to Canillo. The walk takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes and includes a super-fun Tibetan bridge. - Juclà Shelter and Lake, the largest natural lake in Andorra
Distance: 4.57 km | Level: Medium | Elevation gain: +465 M
More than 20 hectares and deep-blue waters make this route a unique option, magnificent enough to impress any mountain lover. You will see Egyptian vultures flying overhead and, if you pay attention, you might find the sweet alpine clover flower. The route starts very close to Park Piolets MountainHotel & Spa, at km 3 of the Incles Valley main road (42° 36' 7",1° 41' 13"). - Circ de Pessons
Distance: 5.95 Km | Level: Difficult | Elevation gain: +707 M
This route will take you to the different lakes that form the ancient glacial circle of Pessons, the largest granite glacial circle in Andorra. The route starts at Cubil, in Grau Roig (42° 31' 54",01° 41' 51"). In a landscape replete with streams, cliffs, unnamed lagoons and interconnected lakes, you’re very likely to hear birds and spot marmots. This is a hike for experienced walkers, lasting about 5 to 6 hours if you want to do the whole route.
