The Alpine skiing World Cup Finals in Andorra

From 13th to 19th March 2023, the best skiers in the world will meet again on the Avet de Soldeu slope, located in front of the hotel, and on the Àliga del Tarter slope. From Park Piolets MountainHotel & Spa we are more than proud to be part of this great sporting event as spectators but also as collaborators. The AUDI FIS Ski World Cup Finals in Andorra is the most important alpine skiing event in the world after the Winter Olympic Games and the World Championships. 
In today's post we tell you about the parallel activities that will take place and that you will be able to attend after the races.  

Ski Festival: the World Cup side events not to be missed
Itinerant show
The activities to celebrate the finals start on Saturday 11/03/23 at 19h, along the Vivand shopping street in Escaldes-Engodany, with a lively and itinerant parade that represents the path that Grandvalira has taken to reach this Alpine skiing World Cup. It starts at Plaça Coprínceps.  
Opening party
On 13 March at 19h30, the opening party for the Alpine skiing World Cup finals will take place at the foot of the Avet piste in Soldeu. The event will be accompanied by an audiovisual mapping show on the slopes. 
Presentation of race bibs
On this occasion, the bib handover changes its location and will take place at l'Abarset, in the Tarter sector of Grandvalira, on 17 March at 19h. At the event you will be able to see the world's best skiers up close. In addition, throughout the week, l'Abarset has programmed a programme of performances to enjoy after the competitions. In addition, throughout the week there will be a programme of DJ sessions that will provide music for the best après-ski of the competition.  
World Cup Village
On the days when the races take place in Soldeu, 18 and 19 March, the events will be held in the World Cup Village, open from 10 am to 5 pm. During the two days there will be animations, food tracks, with merchandising areas of the commercial brands that participate in the competition and a concert of the 40 Prinipales, on the 18th from 14h to 14h. 
Autograph signing
Dominik Paris will receive his fans on 16/03/23 at 11h. 
The skiers of the Atomic team will do it on 18/03/23 at 12h, at the Soldeu platform. 

Hotel activities: 
Throughout the winter season we have been scheduling après-ski entertainment in the hotel's Lounge Bar. During the week of the Alpine skiing World Cup finals, you will also be able to enjoy DJ sessions with our DJ Carolina Montovani who will be playing the best music on Thursday from 18h to 20h and on Saturday from 16h30 to 20h30.  

The best skiers in the world meet up in Grandvalira
Grandvalira, in the Soldeu and El Tarter sectors, will host this great event for the second time in its history. The world's 25 best downhill, supergiant, slalom and giant slalom racers in each discipline will meet in both the men's and women's categories.

In the women's category, Mikaela Shiffrin comes in first in the ranking, overtaking Lindsey Vonn in World Cup victories. She is followed by Petra Vlhova and Lara Gut-Behrami.
Marco Odermatt is in first place in the men's category, followed by Aleksander Aamodt Kilde and Henrik Kristoffersen. And for the first time in the history of the AUDI FIS Ski World Cup Finals they have Andorran participation, with Joan Verdú who has qualified to take part in the giant slalom event on Saturday 18, at 9:00 a.m., on the Avet de Soldeu slope.
